Mind, they are back underway and Emma has won the first 2 points. *3-2 30-0

Another match where it'll feel awful for the loser. Emma had converted 6 of her 7 BPs, had another there, but didn't manage it and Savinykh has just held. 4-5*. 3 games in a row, or 5 of the last 6 for the Russian.

Broken to love. 6-1 3-6 4-6.

You gotta assume that medical time out was for Emma as she was *3-0 up in that set. A shame, but it's all good experience for her at this age and she won a match here anyway so was a worthwhile tournament.

2nd week in a row where it's just Maia flying the flag in the QFs.

I wonder if the medical time out affected Emma, her first service collapsed shortly before it was called. She may have had an arm issue.

Very back and forth start to Maia match. Went from 0-1 to 2-1 to 2-3 to *4-3

4 games in a row for Maia to take the first set, 6-3. Serves first in the second.

She dropped the first set in her first 2 matches here before coming back, so hopefully the reverse doesn't happen here.

An early break down in the second, *1-3

3rd successive 3 setter for Maia, she brought it back to *4-4, but was then broken, had a BP, but Albie ended up holding.

6-3 4-6 *0-0

Maia was *2-0, but now *2-2, one of those matches where it seems breaks aren't too decisive.

Similar story to the second set, Albie breaks at 4-4, but this time will try and serve for the match, not the set.

But this time Maia breaks back! *5-5.

2 further breaks and into a tie breaker. Think there's been 14 breaks overall.
