Week 8 - (ITF W25) - Glasgow, GB Hard

Maia 4-6 *5-1.

I've seen 5-1 not converted at least 4 times recently, including earlier today in Dubai (as well as poor Freya of course), hopefully Maia can finish the job and take it to a decider.

Maia converted that lead and took it to a final set...and was a break down, but now serving for it.

Maia Lumsden GBR 4-6 6-1 *5-4 (7) Pemra Ozgen TUR

*4-1 0-30. Definite signs that the Russian is getting back into it.

Very important hold at 4-1, saving multiple BPs, eventually held, and then broke to love to take the first set 6-1.

*3-3 second set.

*3-5, Savinykh won 4 of last 5 games and a lot off them seemingly comfortably. Looking like a second 3 setter for Emma.

For some reason Emma's 1st service completely fell apart in the 2nd set. She could hardly get it in and when she did it lost the point. Her 2nd service kept her in the set for quite a while but wasn't quite enough on its own.

Emma has lost the last 2 games, so I'd probably suggest that. 2 long games probably catching up at such a young age.
