Radu Albot is the first ever player from Moldavia [Portuguese for Moldova] to reach an ATP final.

He beats Mackenzie McDonald with some score: 3-6, 6-0, 6-0.

Radu lost 20 points in the last two sets combined. Incredible stuff.

It's actually the standalone headline (link) under a photo of victorious Dan (on themain BBC tennis webpage) that got me, he's played 6 matches in a week, beating high ranked players, with brilliant and interesting tennis, and the BBC suddenly decide an hour later to put the dampeners on it.

Let's face it, what the Beeb don't know about tennis ....

I have it on good(?) authority that they employ machine [early-] learning when composing their tennis articles.
