Excellent win for Dan and great to see how it unfolded. Dan worked him out, seems to use that first set almost to do that in every match and then bamboozled Isner.

Yes, Moldovan.

Radu used to have Liam Smith as his coach (Liam's British, or - if not any longer - he certainly grew up in GB) but I think Gael Monfils has just hired Liam this year so Radu must have someone else now.

There was an ATP article very recently about Radu:

He's only 5 ft 9 (like Dan) and only broke into the top 100 when he was 25 but has been having his best year ever this year. All thanks to grit, seemingly.
