Well done Mr Evans, well done indeed.

I guess we'll be following Kyle instead of Dan in the IW challenger. Who'd have thunk it!

One more match for that top 100 spot. I was optimistic, but didn't really think this dream would come true.

Isner must hate the Brits. I wonder how many other Top 10 players have been beaten by 4 different GB players in singles ?

Andy, Kyle, Dan and let me guess........., was it in a Davis cup? Hmmmmmmm

Edit

That is a serious question, 'cos I don't know the answer Bob.

He did, but that was in the tie the previous year.

From memory, I think Wardy beat Querrey the following year in the US.  So he has beaten both.  Your memory isn't so bad after all wink

Evo what a star! Looking forward to the final, hopefully he has matured and will be able to cope with some success and really enjoy being part of the GS main draws for the rest of the year. He should really set his heart and head on becoming a top ten player there will be a window of opportunity for him over the next 3 years. I just hope he can climb through it.

Now that would be great if both Dan & Kyle could yet be challenging to be or indeed be top 10 players with Cam continuing to advance too. And if we are talking over the next few years who knows re him, still a relatively inexperienced ATP player.

Very different players and potentially very interesting times.

Well done Dan !

Fuller didn't write it. It's a staff journo.

Dan can beat Isner, he'll make him play too many balls. May be 3 sets but Dan will win.

Excellent win for Dan and great to see how it unfolded. Dan worked him out, seems to use that first set almost to do that in every match and then bamboozled Isner.

Quick question - MacDonald has an se for Acapulco, could Dan have got one, ?

Also I see Dan has now made the Indian wells Qualies cut line and presumably will for miami also

Excellent stuff from Dan. After a dodgy start he completely dismantled Isners game and by the end Isner had absolutely no idea what to do. It was fantastic to watch.

Now onwards to the final - very winnable but McDonald in particular might be a tough beat.

Fantastic week though and a place back in the Top 100 is surely imminent.

If Dan wins tomorrow, he'll go 15 in race. 15. Crazy.

Is it humanly possible for the BBC to right a match report on Dan without mentioning the drugs ban ? Yet again, it gets highlighted.

Move on BBC.

And as previously said "drugs ban" is so all encompassing and someone not knowing the details is quite likely to think PEDs.

Something like "ban for cocaine misuse" if they must or not at all ...

This time it's worse, at least last time the photo caption said it was for cocaine.

They don't mention it on Sharapova's articles but that would be fine as hers was for PEDs.

Dan wasn't going to play Acapulco though. His plan was to play Indian Wells.
