Just hope it doesn't prove one of his renowned short stories

Sadly, Isaac must have spent too much time in the cherry orchard:

FQR:  (q12) Anton Chekhov (RUS) ITF 1033 defeated (q3) Isaac Stoute ITF 514 by 2 & 3  bleh

Hardly a surprise!

This sounds like a very expensive trip for a FQR loss. Anyone care to estimate? £1000 all in for entry fees, transfers hotel and flights?

Increasingly with the lack of spaces in transition events and miles down alt lists, if players want a spot to actually play many are probably going to have to travel much further to less easy to get to but less subscribed events and/or make late and more costly travel decisions.

So again often really only for these with back-up funds. These who aren't early 'stars' ( again often connected to funds or at least opportunity ) but have begun to progress and desperate to progress further but haven't the funds - tough!
