But then two DFs and she's broken to love 4-5*

The Italian of British descent will try and serve it out now.

She ended up losing the last 8 points after that break. Lost 2-6 4-6.

Eden was 3-4* in the first set when I last checked, but she went to take the set and the opponent is now serving to stay in the match.

6-4 6-5*

Come on Eden. A little bit of good news in Grenoble would be nice.

Eden served for it at 5-3, but in the end it went to a tie-break, and she took it 7-4

Yay

Gets precisely zero WTA or ITF points for winning and reaching the FQR but hopefully just a first step.

Good stuff. Takes out the highest ranked seed in her section and plays the 19 year old 9th Q seed next.

Well done, Eden !

As someone said above, nice to hear a little good news out of Switzerland..... Manon Arcangoli is a decent player, plays a lot of tennis - she beat Eden last january (2018) in the 60k in France, in two sets, and beat her again in three sets in Nov. 17. Good to see our Eden setting the record straight.

I think her next match is later today so good luck to her - the Spanish girl has a really tight match to win her R1

Been all Eden since I last posted (in terms of games anyway), 4 in a row and she takes the first set 6-2. She'll also serve first in the second.
