Hey our top dirt baller hits the clay for the first time in 2019! Hope he enjoys it after showing such promise on this surface last year

Shame he missed out on a seeding by one place. Carreno-Busta awaits in round 2

Thanks for the heads up. Some negative body language from Cam atm. Cachín playing well.

And has lost the first set on the back of it. Hopefully he can regroup now and get the W.

I see Aljaz has just won his match. Good luck to him too. I still think of him as a Brit and a victim of circumstance rather than a traitor.

Shame that Cam lost but there is a lovely story going round about Pedro Cachin.

Seemingly there was a video posted about a group of kids playing tennis, of sorts, in the Dem Rep of Congo, on some clay tennis courts.
And it showed them trying to re-string their rackets themselves, with only bits of wood to keep the tension.

And so Pedro Cachin and his mate, Xavier Colomina, sent them over a racket-stringing machine.

And now there's a 'thank you' picture of very happy kids.

(And a few disgruntled posts about where is the ITF's development fund etc in all this......)

None uglier than this one although I think he can be forgiven with a bounce like that. wink
