As above, not surprised to see so many youngsters get quali wildcards - they're like gold-dust with this new system - good luck to them - and to all the others, of course.

It was kind of process of elimination mind as most of the 'older guard' like Tara, Alicia and Ella got in directly and Emily I suppose as well as she is much more established in 15ks and (at least entering) 25ks. Other than potentially Sam, I don't think anyone has been overlooked for one. But yeah, a great opportunity for them and hopefully they can make an impact like Victoria did last week. Even if she didn't get rewarded in terms of points, it'll definitely have made a good impression on the powers that be and hopefully the others can do similar this week and stake a claim for grass rewards or the two other home 25k's in April.

We've definitely got more 'direct' qualifiers than I was expecting which is great. All of our 8 are against seeds which is expected. There are 12 ties and the girls have avoided the 4th, 5th (half-Brit Brescia), 9th and 11th seeds, so a bit of a mixed bag there in terms of ranking, although in reality, I guess there will be little difference in quality at this sort of level and someone seeded 10th might have a lot more ability and potential than the top Q seed.
