Well done. I knew that excluding Ms Burrage from my top 10 prediction would energise her year.
Good stuff.
I saw someone questioning why so relatively few folk had Jodie in their top 10.
This totally failed to recognise how some of us selflessly carefully make some selections based on the psyche of the players and what sort of effect the predictions will have on them
Wow, the butterfly seems to have emerged from the chrysalis, and in a hurry too
A few serving facts struck me in particular about this result. Jodie only served a 38% first serve percentage, but won 94% of these AND 88% of her second serves. She was only broken once in the match vs the 5 breaks she won.
F: Jodie BURRAGE (GBR) 415 vs Miharu IMANISHI (JPN) [7] 404 (CH:187 May 18)
I would think Jodie would be the favourite in the final now. Imanishi won her semi in three sets over Hozumi. On the rankings, very helpfully the ITF have changed their format so the date of the CH is no longer indicated. Why provide as useful a service as in the past, when you can make it worse? Seems to be their all round motto at the moment.
Good luck Jodie, what a truly wonderful week this is turning out to be for her. Alex Ward must have a huge smile at the moment, but hope it will get larger yet before the week is done..

In terms of the prediction rankings, Jodie is now up to about 368 in the live rankings for the week after next... In the prediction rankings of the 10 who included her, the average ranking is 292, the highest prediction being 145, might be a smart person that, and the lowest at 357... huhu I wish I'd pushed her up a bit higher now...
