Lestiennes was 100% - must be a French technician posting the stats

Dan a bit slow out of the starting blocks, but gets there in the end:

QF:  Daniel Evans WR 163 defeated (9) Constant Lestienne (FRA) WR 146 by 3-6 7-6(2) 7-6(4)  in about 2˝ hours

14 aces to four.  wink

He's such a prima donna - shouts 'towel, towel, towel' to the poor ball kid !!! But well played - great match in the end. the crowd got their money'w worth if not the best result for them. As said before, it's annoying that the stats obscure the handshake - I would have like to have viewed that.

Dear Dan should maybe realise that if he wants to live long and healthy as a tennis player, playing three set tie-breaks every match should be avoided - and for my nerves too.....

But he did great to come through. Mind you, if Lestienne was one of ours, we'd be saying how on earth didn't he win that.....

Think Dan just wants to torture the French as much as possible! Bring on the next one
