Much as I love Dan, surprised to see him such an overwhelming favourite at the start of this match.
Halys is unpredictable but he's been getting his act together recently....
Dan's favourite but not hugely so in play with bet365 after an early break apiece, 7/10 vs 21/20. Halys had gone very slight favourite after he broke first for a 2-0 lead.
It was about 1.5 and 2.5 before the match (don't do fractions )
You might be right, it's not overwhelming but is seemed pretty one-sided to me.
Ah, that is rather stronger favourite, I make that 1/2 vs 6/4 in old money, effectively being given over twice* the chance of Halys ( about 63% vs 37% ). Agree that looks surprisingly strong. Now whip him, Dan
edit : 63 is err a bit less than twice 37, duh, but still fairly clear favourite.

Some strange backhand returning from Dan. Some of Halys' second serves are asking to be hit, but Dan is only popping up the return as though he is through his shot too quickly. Has done it a few times, letting Halys get away with some weak second serves, whereas generally Halys is creaming Dan's second serve.
Ok, Dan. I've cashed out my 50p on Halys and stuck 20p on you.
Now is time to deliver the goods.......quentin is not always the strongest mentally either.......

Yeah, 1.5 vs 2.5 equates to 1/2 vs 6/4 in 'real' odds , so a favourite, but not huge. Alexandrova vs Boutler for example was 1/4 (Russian) vs 11/4 (Boulter) pre match (1.25 vs 3.75).
It's the same odds as Alexandrova vs Boulter in play, with Halys obviously the current favourite.
