Worth noting that to my knowledge we stand at only two male winners from the 1990s Medvedev and Theim, and already those born in the 2000s are beginning to take over. Alvarez already has one slam and he and Sinner are in the semis of Wimbledon tomorrow. The big 4 truly have decimated the 1990s tennis generation!
Looking at the top 30 ranked players is there anyone there outside of Sinner and Alcaraz born in the 2000s that looks likely to win a slam in the next 3 years ? I would say that ( ignoring Novak who is obviously still a contender ) that Medvedev, Zverev, Tsitsipas, Rublev, Ruud, Fritz, Dimitrov are all more likely than other younger contenders. Now maybe Sinner and Alvarez will win all of the next 12 slams but somehow I doubt it. If Tsitsipas can persuade his dad to watch on tv that would improve his chances hugely, he certainly has the skills and weapons to win one.
Good point. Sinner and Alvarez are really good though and look to be the next superstars. Rune is good but I don't see him winning a slam for a while. FAA was the first of the 2000s to reach the top 20, I believe, but doesn't seem to have the mentality to break through when it really matters. However, I really like Ben Shelton, and think he could be the next one to really challenge for a slam if he becomes more consistent.

Dimitrov is 33!! I know he playing well and consistent but I don't see a slam in him.
And as of right now, one of the two wins by a 90s born player- I think it was Thiem at the US- was when Novak was kicked out for hitting the line judge with a ball

So another year goes by and yet again no 90s born player has won a slam. In 2025 the youngest 90s born players will turn 26. Each grand slam has more and more 00 born players making the later rounds.
Will the likes of Medvedev, Zverev, Fritz etc even get to 5 collectively?

I know it's hard to type on a phone but the youngest 90s players are currently in their 30s, not 20s,( like my sons).
