Can't help you Pauisi, but if I was within 50/60 miles then I'd be very tempted myself. Strong line up, bigger prize money, entertainment, evening sessions, even little things like programmes - you could tell they put a lot of effort in last year, even for just a 25k. Unfortunately I'm over 200 miles away, so I'll be enjoying the streams from home
Shrewsbury throughly deserve the upgrade to a W60. As to the strategy around running 15Ks or not that is a different matter. Really well run tournaments lots of local interest and a committed sponsor.
Though a lot of the rules books would have to change for this I have always wondered why tournaments cannot stage lesser value tournaments for qualies and 1st round losers. For example, a W60 here with a 15k starting 2 days after. I know the schedule and logistics would have to change (and we've just done all that) but, when you think about the players making their at this level, none of who can run at a profit, it could certainly make better use of the their travelling time and expenses.
