She will play her QF later today, although her opponent has only just started their R16 match. For some reason start of play was delayed on the other courts and they have moved all matches off court 3 (the other streamed court) .
Mandy looking good, quick about the court and striking the ball well. Opponents dropshots and moonballs not very effective !
There were only three holds of serve in the second set - serve not really an advantage on what looked a very heavy slow court.
Another QF secured - only 12 points, but another step on the road.
That sounds really, really bad news if she's retiring whilst 5-2 up. It must mean she was starting to feel her wrist again....
Can only hope it's just precautionary, but its not good news at all. If she's strained something else rather, even if it means a bit of time out, it would be a relief however!

She had 2 set points at 5-1* as well. There was a MTO at the end of that game, but only a short one. Mandy was 30-15 on serve when she called it a day.
It's dreadful news, and really feel for her. She's down to play here again next week, so guess we'll find out soon enough if she stays entered or withdraws. Given the manner of her WD today, can't imagine she will still be playing at this point.
