Does anyone know why this happens?

The ITF list the new rankings as of Monday each week. And then, later in the week, there are always small changes....

Most I can sort of live with but this week the change is big.....

I've taken to even taking a screenshot now on Monday - just as proof to myself that I'm not going mad.

And there's Arthur, as of 25/11/19, at 47

And NOW, I look again and he's been put back down to 54.... confuseconfuseconfuse

However, ignoring the ITF vaguaries, with 26 or so 2001-ers in the top 50 ready to drop out at the end of the year, both Arthur and Felix are going to jump up to be about top 25.

AND with Arthur's new points at the JA in Mexico, which are quite significant, and counting, he's going to go even higher.....

think CD, that the changes during the week reflect any challenging of results or points awarded.  Say, a final match was submitted with the scores the wrong way round.  That kind of thing.  Then of course, any change in points awarded to one player shuffles everyone else around.

Also, a lot of lower end changes are from 0 point events dropping off. .I.E. a player goes from 1 pt from 7 to 1 pt from 6. Sometimes this can be 100+ places. It's the same with the ATP rankings.

Yes but these would have been taken into account during the main rankings run.

Maybe the wonderful new ITF site has something to do with it wink

Have they changed the website?
Mobile site looks completely different and no filters on quantities or countries for rankings.

Thanks for the suggestions - I'm just hoping that the new site puts an end to it - it was very bizarre - a few little changes I could understand - but practically every couple of weeks - and major ones too - it's weird!

So, for the new rankings, on the new site

Nice to see two of our lads in the top 50. And with another years to go as juniors so they'll be real top hopes in the top junior events next year

BOYS:

35 (+4) Arthur Féry (2002)
48 (+6) Felix Gill (2002)
58 (+2) Harry Wendelken
87 (+3) Blu Baker

There are little jumps up for all our players in the 100-200 range too, which is always nice.

Elsewhere:

699 (+72) Barney Fitzpatrick ('02)
803 (+95) Billy Blaydes ('03)
988 (+162) Luca Mcmanus ('02)
1221 (+178) Archie Graham ('02)
2078 (+369) Harry Rock ('03)

With all the 01 born players due to drop out, we will see some big rises in the rankings.
Will be interesting to see who pushes on and up the rankings this year.
Hope we see the likes of Marni and Matilda testing themselves on the main tour as well.
I suspect Jack PJ could be one to watch...
