I truly hope that Annie K is not going to favour her old friend but will approach this tie professionally. Heather should be in the doubles, probably with Harriet, and Jo and Katie should be in the singles. Katie is now LR 83, Heather LR 108, and it's Katie who is playing by far the better tennis. It's going to need some turn around from Heather in the next few weeks for her to make any case at all for being in the singles.

Harriet looked terrified but that's not a total surprise. Hopefully she's not too deflated.

Heather looks and sounds miserable. I really feel for her if she's not enjoying being on court.

It's good that Heather is playing doubles too and hope it cheers her up... Also it should allow Harriet to relax more and enjoy one or two further matches there! She came close to winning a few games from Maria, but didn't know how to countenance Maria's hard, flat, early hitting.
