Kyle out in straight sets as predicted, back to his par ranking Id say now. Cam will catch him by Wimbledon injuries permitting. Dan might as well. Be interesting fight for GB number 1 between these 3 this year end I think.

No he won't how ever often you repeat it. Kyle will see out the year in May from a year after you first predicted that Cam would overtake Kyle in the rankings in a year's time still ahead, and comfortably so, unless possibly for any reason he is hardly able to play. He simply has so much more proven quality and high level at his best and has become better at getting over the line.

Poor match by Kyle today but as has been said he did come in with just the one match in Brisbane so far this year and then some sort of slight injury.

Don't see Evo catching Kyle this year but that seems much more possible than Cam overtaking Kyle anytime in the next year or so. Though I still expect Cam to move up the world rankings.

Didnt realise you had a crystal ball, we will see Indiana. I hope Cam and Dan can catch him anyway. We will see wont we, its not impossible. Far from it. However much you like to spin in Kyle is not a top 10 player, his ranking flattered him last year. And if some people in our country didnt get behind Andy they certainty wont get behind a tax exile clay court player who doesnt call when he hits the ball twice.

Sorry, did you think there was only one crystal ball around? Think I've found an upgraded version

It also works pretty independently of how much I might more generally like or otherwise different players.

PS: not spun or even ever said that Kyle was a top 10 player. Not sure where that goalpost sprung up from.

Thanks very much for your report, Constant. Always good to get first hand reports, particularly on such occasions, combined with some of the atmosphere etc.

And great you got to see Katie's and Dan's wins and later got in to see Andy.

Only 1 in 4 challenges are successful I recall. I think , but maybe wrong, that Federer has the best success rate, although can't recall how to check that !

Jon - in 2016 it was Goffin who was the most successful player challenging serves under hawkeye. Federer is almost as well known as Andy for rubbish challenges!

Typical Big Ivo match:  now 39 (!), he beat Hubert Hurkacz (POL) by 6-7(5) 7-6(5) 7-6(3) 7-6(5) to reach the last 64!  disbelief  The match lasted for three hours & six minutes.  Must be pretty fit still!

...that other big server John Isner lost yesterday in 4 tiebreaks 7-6 7-6 6-7 7-6 t Reilly Opelka, another near 7 foot giant of a man.

Thankfully Opelka and Karlovic cant meet until the final...

Opelka will upend Isner eventually. Big serve but moves better in my opinion.

Oh, and was REALLY looking forward to watching Dan tomorrow morning and they've ended up putting Federer on a day session match for the first day in EVER!

Bloody ridiculous

With Nadal in the same half and playing an Aussie it seemed like the perfect time to do it to be fair. Irritating as hell tho
