Congrats to Blu on getting selected for sponsorship by Token Stars. It will be interesting to see what sort of year he has - there's definitely good potential there, and he's been a fave for a while, but one could argue that he is currently 'fully priced in', there's no 'rough diamond' argument there.
As part of our 'also-ran' cohort of 2001, Blu already has his own thread (of which I'm sure he's very proud ), so worth noting here that he seems to be on a bit of better run of form of late (and is also playing ITFs)
Made the quarters last week. Beating the top seed. Won his R1 match today. Nothing out of this world. But good to see - the possibility of a good base for moving on.....

To bring this up to date, Blu has indeed carried on a solid upward trajectory over the last few months - made the semis in a 15k in Florida, made the QFs in a 25k there, and various other wins, that really seem to represent consistent form at a higher level, as confirmed by livestream.
Age 20, he's now cracked the top 1000 in style, currently 868.
And last week he won his first title, the doubles 15k title in Florida, with Jesse Witten
Whatever he's doing (moving to the US?? as per the article) is certainly working - although admittedly last year wasn't exactly a "typical" year. And with him into the 2nd round (at the very least) of this week's tournament, there is more points coming his way.
Looking at the ITF-entries.netlify.app site it looks like he entered two M15s in the states this week and next but withdrew on 2nd September. So looks like there might be an intention to get back. He was entered with a ranking of 760 so I assume he has a protected ranking and therefore must have had an injury.
