Cam about to start up vs Federer, on Eurosport 2. Hopefully he can put up a better show than Evo did against Federer here a few years ago.

Dan did quite well in 2017 - 6-3, 6-4.  Respectable scoreline. Cam's is a total pummeling but not (to me) unexpected.

Cam did have 5 break points in the first set (three in the first game) - didn't take any. Fed had 5, and took 2.
Cam needs a better second serve to compete at the top level - he won just 4 out of 22.

Always going to be tough. Hopman Cup for me gives us a taste of what Davis cup and at
P world team will be like later this year / next year. Depressingly uninteresting

Nice win! Let's see how Cam and Katie get on with Federer and Benic...

Not to mention Tiafoe & Serena W!  wink

Cam I think can beat Tiafoe. Greece, as I said with my opening post, was the easiest to start off with (they have no grand slams after all) although both higher ranked than our pair.

Interesting:  Williams beat Sakkari in straight sets, but Tsitsipas beat Tiafoe in three & the pair of them combined to beat Williams & Tiafoe in three...

Serena won the toss a chose to serve. I guess she hasn't worked out that means Fed will serve at 4-4 in the TB if it gets there. I'm glad that this match might highlight the stupidness of the rules, as the crowd will want more of this.

Level pegging after the singles, with Williams beating Bencic in straight sets & Roger the Lodger Tiafoe, also in straight sets, so the mixed is the decider in the tie.

First blood to the Swiss holders of the Cup who take the first set by 4-2.

Unfortunately GB can no longer qualify for the final though with Cam and Katie needing to make Auckland and Hobart qualifying respectively I guess it's not the worst thing.
