Is Johanna really down for qualifying in Sydney, as you've put her in brackets?

She wasn't ranked high enough for main draw!

I assume she is in qualifying although have not managed to find a list yet.

There's a very strong entry for Sydney, with 8 of the top 10 on the list. I'm not surprised she hasn't made it. The official site lists 21 players, all ranked in the top 28.
Last year's draw was 30 players (2 byes) with 4WC and 4 qualifiers

Katy Dunne is 11th ALT for AO qualifying - I think she might make it

She probably would have - the final 3 wild cards have gone to players inside the top 250, so Naomi (who was below Katy on the Q list) is now just 2 or 3 out and heading down to Australia from HK (where she was entered for next week's 25K too) - it might still end up being a wasted trip, but you'd kick yourself much harder if you didn't go and then found you would have got in. Keep everything crossed for her!

Brydan Klein wins his opener in Canberra against dayne kelly. Also in doubles draw. I wrote Brydan off in my predictions this year, but hope he proves me wrong

Everybody except Indy wrote him off I think. Will be interesting indeed to see if he does make any come back.

Tennis on telly

@tennisontelly

The qualifying draw for the Australian Open is made on Monday (sorry I don't know what time), play starts Tuesday morning at midnight GMT and Eurosport Player has multi-court coverage.

Me and one other.

It will move Brydan up to GB #9. 0K a few weeks to go

But if in any sort of form I reckon he will play challengers and pick up a few points anyway and that may be enough to bring him into the ballpark.

No British women entered for Tunisia W15 this week - pity, because there are only 11 in qualifying for 6 places, and ITF1060 would be good enough for the main draw.

Katie Boulter has replaced Coco Vandeweghe in the Kooyong Classic this week. She plays Amanda Anisimova overnight.
