Australian Open Entry List

Yes, 17th December.

I've not really got much info on Aussie Open qualifying cut-offs but it's safe to say that it will indeed be Ward, Evans and Clarke for us.

Our #5 Jay is currently WR 221 and next in the GB rankings ( after Andy ) is #7 Liam WR 317.

on the Shadow rankings, Liam Broady rises to 271 - which is not a million miles away. Presumably as per the main draw list, the qualies will be based on the 2019 Ranking system? I guess Liam though isnt playing so stands little chance of rising next week...

Yes, as its a 2019 tournament, entry will be using 2019 rankings.

I think it would be better for Clarke to stick to challengers at the start of the season rather than trying to qualify especially the way the season ended. Would give him chance to pick up wins and titles at a lower level.

I guess much may depend on how healthy Jay feels.

If he still has these fatigue issues then Aussie Open qualifying may well be problematic.

If feeling much better then he can more confidently give it a go. And I imagine would like to do so having missed the last Aussie Open qualifying due to injury.

James Ward and Dan Evans are in but Jay is 3rd alternative for AO, will probably get in if he wants to play though as there will no doubt be more than 3 drop outs
