New doubles CH for Emelie. Another 2 wins should just about give her a singles CH. After struggling for months to get a point - Alice is going like a train.

Just the one further win and now 2 points this week for both Alice and Emilie will already take both to further singles CHs on 17/12. Alice so far moves to 15 points, Emilie to 11 points.

Provisionally these 15 points for Alice brings her level on points with Mandy Carreras as GB #24 and #25 ( Emilie is provisionally #26 ). So in the dying embers of the current ranking system we will have our 25th ranked player ranked well into the top 900 which by Steven's stats appears to be our highest ranked #25 in many years.

Certainly a bit of a late year pick up to have 32 ranked players ( after looking like it might be quite bit less ) and such a relatively highly ranked #25.

But soon, for better or worse, all change ...
