Yes - Evan Furness is the lad who beat Dan Evans last week ...... :(
However, don't think Lény (he has an accent SC ) is ever going to make it big - is probably reasonably fairly ranked. Still a very big ask for Lamar but....
Edit 24 hours later: complete old age moment above - actually Dan WON against Evan, in two tight sets. Sorry. (Got Evan confused with Dan Added who Evo did lose to - there's something about the two English sounding names - Evan Furness and Dan Added - that makes me get them mixed up)

Dan Evans? Last week?
Having done a quick search on here, I see that I've been in the habit of spelling it with an accent in previous posts. For some reason, however, I hesitated as I was typing the post earlier & did a search on Google. That threw up no instances of the name with an accent, so I didn't bother with one. However, I've searched again now that I'm home & this time, that produced a link to his Twitter feed ( ) & I ain't gonna argue with that.
He beat Dan Evans last week in the French league team tennis.
I thought Dan had packed up for the season!
Seemingly not. He played all five team tennis matches over the past three weeks - won two, lost three. And played some doubles.
Not a great set of results. But OK. And his team did well and have finished top of the pool so he'll probably play the final on Dec 1st. (It's all in the European League tennis thread).
As the addict says, a bit of helpful dosh, maybe.....
I know, we all have our go-to ones and ones we skip over or don't go to at all.
But the European League tennis one in the general tennis section and is basically only active twice a year, end November and April/May when the leagues are played. As quite a lot of of our top players play in it (e.g. Dan) it's quite interesting from that point of view.
