Week 46 - ITF ($15K) - Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt Hard

QF: PITAK, Aleksandra (GBR) Q UNR [17yo JCH=1169] v MATUSOVA, Barbora (SVK) 1200 =CH [18yo JCH=82]

Barbora looks as if she could be a bit more of a challenge.

Well Barbara is proving to be a challenge. Ola's serve isn't very effective today, and she's lost the first set to 0 in 41 minutes.
But there's a toilet break, so fingers crossed for a recovery.

A better set, but still came out worse.

QF: PITAK, Aleksandra (GBR) Q UNR [17yo JCH=1169] LOST TO MATUSOVA, Barbora (SVK) 1200 =CH [18yo JCH=82] 0-6 2-6

For her next, and apparently final week in Sharm she shouldn't have to qualify as she is listed in the Q1 position. A few extra days off can't hurt !

Aleksandra does not appear in the Q draw at Sharm for the coming week so she should hopefully appear in the Main draw.

I know there won't be as much information and stats at this level, but for whatever reason, Ola was actually a 4/9 favourite to win that match, so that scoreline s particularly disappointing. Still, a good week coming through qualifying and winning a couple of matches.
