That Stellenbosch 15k, there is not a single ranked South African woman entered into it. That's pretty desperate, they had a few playing last year - it was the tournaments here where Emilie Lind reached her first QF.
I hope Mandy can pick up some points this week, as this is where she disappears almost off the screen in Alt lists. Yes, there will be a packet of withdrawals but she is currently 222 on the alt list in Spain with no status at all. She does unfortunately need 2 counters, since her second last one also disappears in one week.
You have to be WR300 at the time you stopped playing - not certain what rank she had at the time - she finished 2017 at WR398, so unlikely. Her best hope is surely try and get some QWC from sympathetic tournament directors (or whoever has the power)

Good to see that Mandy has made the draw, even if only just into qualifying. But it is a weak tournament, with only the top MD seed inside WR700, so fingers crossed.
