insomniacfolder

As there is a lot of speculation and interest on another thread it seems like the time has come say what I know - I hope no-one is or would be annoyed that I am sharing it but there was such a demand for information I feel I needed to.

A couple of years ago (June 2016) after openly wondering where ISF was in a thread, Steven contacted me to say he had been in touch with ISF, and she was suffering from terminal cancer.

Nothing ever got posted from her account again, with the last posts being in May 2016 and the account mysteriously saying deleted in the status. In August 2016, a new account popped up called FKA insomniacfolder stating someone was typing for her. At the bottom of the post there was a message "Best Wishes All players, and all forumites, forever." There were only a few more posts from this account, with the last one being in May 2017.

I don't know know anything more other than silence I assume is not good news, together with AllBB's cryptic message that was brought to attention in the other thread.

That's brought tears to my eyes.

Thank you, Wolf, for the information. And thank you ISF, for making the forum a better place. And to her carer/family member/friend who typed for her - I hope the forum, and tennis, was a welcome distraction, however slight, from everything else.

Best wishes to her family, and to her too.

I last heard from her in Dec 16 via PM, which is why I was surprised to hear that someone had posted as her recently. I too had assumed that she was gone. I would love some clarification, and to be wrong.

Thank you Wolf. I would echo CD's sentiments.

Yes thank you wolf and that all makes total sense. Very sad but echo cd's thoughts. Having a wife who has had cancer (thankfully all clear now) this resonates with me.

Prayers and thoughts with their family.

One final comment - on ISF profile, although deleted, I'm sure it says gender is male although I must admit I always thought they where female as others seem to.

ISF definately female, I think M is just a default setting.

I started this thread before I saw Strongbow's sleuthing in the other thread. Not sure I would have posted if I had seen that beforehand.

Not sure there is any evidence that the other ISF in Strongbow's post is the same person? The one on You tube appeared to be American and there was no implication of a liking for tennis that I could see?

Apologies to keep this going but to add something I hope:

On this forum, ISF profile shows them as being male and coming from Maidenhead

britishtennis.activeboard.com/m1575799/profile/

Out of interest, there is also this on the internet

www.flickr.com/photos/27410293@N02/

A Kevin Lee who was on Flicker and used the same name and comes from from Maidenhead...

I apologise for making this thread longer but I had seen this before and hence it was why I assumed ISF was male. I dont know what this says or does, and am sure I am going too far so will leave it all now.
