Jodie beat Zhang a few weeks ago in Aus, 4 and 1 so you'd like to think Swan should come through this - there'd be far worse draws on paper. Could face promising jr Liang of Taiwan in the next round.

Well done Katie, nice to see her getting a few wins on this trip. Will be an interesting match up next.

Katie *3-2 having taken three games in a row including two breaks. It seems quite breezy but Katie is playing a little smarter and getting errors off her opponent's forehand.

This is when we really miss Blob, it would be really interesting to know the relative strengths of the tournaments the British girls are playing and the degree of difficulty per point/dollar earned. Great shame a real loss to the board along with ISF

Good stuff, that was a potentially tricky match. 7th seed Rybakina lost to a Chinese player (who I know little about) ranked around 150 places behind the Russian turned Kazakh, so on paper, that looks a more favourable quarter final.

How come those 2 are no longer on the board?

Sadly blob and Ali Blah Balh were the victim of some nasty messages. cry it's in the chat section. I don't know who ISF is so I can't speak for them no longer being here just the other 2.
