Very impressive, Aidan wins 6-3 with two breaks in the second set. Great serving stats with 91% of first serve points won and 86% of second serve points one. Well done

Aidan marches into the final:

SF:  (5) Aidan McHugh WR 705 defeated (1) Peter Heller (GER) WR 302 by 5 & 3 

******

Final:  (5) Aidan McHugh WR 705 vs (8) Alec Adamson (USA) WR 1036 (CH = 985 in August)

Adamson took out the Russian second seed, Lozan, in straght sets.

Excellent win for Aidan, theres lies dam lies and statistics both serves where obviously effective but what percentage of his first serves did he make? He is a slight guy 5ft 9 dropping wet, I presume he is just hitting his spots without fail??

 It was 64% of first saves made Oakland and two double faults. Points were 68-58. So pretty good performance against that opponent. Pity hes not a bit taller but that Mr Evans chap hasnt done badly!

Super. Well done Aidan  biggrin

On Monday week he will be up over 100 places in the rankings to probably the 580s, not touching down in the 600s. In GB terms he will be up 5 places to GB #14.

We have Jack, currently at GB #9 entered into a challenger this coming week, Aidan on the move up to #14, and George to #19. Great to have all 3 progressing so well.

Great performance from Aidan very impressed. Evo is special in many ways. I get the impression Aidan will make the most of what he has got.
