After no breaks at all in set 1, 6 breaks out of 7 so far in set 2; can Emma serve it out?
5*-2

Hopefully, but another potential break opportunity.

What an absolute star. More BPs, but saved and takes the second 6-2.

Dare I say a winnable semi final?

Fantastic.

brilliant fighting spirit to win through that match, Emma doesn't seem to lose points consecutively, based on that performance.

We have a 3/4 Brit final in the doubles

SF:- Freya CHRISTIE (GBR) / Valeria SAVINYKH (RUS) [1] def Erika VOGELSANG (NED) / Caroline WERNER (GER) 6-2 6-0
SF:- Sarah Beth GREY (GBR) / Olivia NICHOLLS (GBR) [2] def Katharina GERLACH (GER) / Julia WACHACZYK (GER) [4] 6-2 7-5

There was a MTO after three games and ten minutes in Freya's match, so it is probable that one of the opponents was carrying an injury during that match.

Brilliant result from Emma, and wonderful to see her secure her WTA ranking for next year at one fell swoop!

Emma had enough points for a WTA ranking before this match as she had a point from Manchester and from Wimbledon qualifying.

Hopeful for the semi final.against the Latvian, who is a bit unpredictable.

Would be great if Emma can make the final as I would  be able to attend.

There would be no issue getting in. The club put out seats down the side of the court as well as standing at the end of the court.

I've been to made finals there and with GB interest and there has been plenty of room even with 150 watching.
