Fran will need the wins, won't she because of the (I don't understand what it all means) transitional tour changes.
With 15K points not counting to the women's main world rankings come the new year ( that's the plan anyway though I have read some doubts about it all going ahead on time ) Fran has a bigger % of such points than most of those around her in the current rankings so as things stand faces a bit of a drop in her ranking. Though her recent 19 points from an Italy 25K SF were good and she will keep them.
So any 25K or over points just help boost that provisional ranking back up again.
3rd seed Hogenkamp up next who's not at her highest ranking, but has started to have a bit more success after dropping to the ITF scene after Wimbledon, won a couple of titles recently. Was in the top 100 not too long ago.
