Paula BG has taken the first set against her Dutch opponent who was actually the slight favourite in that match despite being a lower seed. If Harriet didn't win then I'd prefer the Spaniard to take it. Not really sure what would be the better match up for her.

I assume Harriet is calling it a season after tomorrow now that she has pulled out of Wirral? There are still a few 125s as well as that 100k+H Middle East ITF, but i guess unlike the likes of Heather, Naomi and possibly Katy D, there's no massive incentive to add points and resting up ahead of Australia may be the best option.

A very good week for Harriet moving towards becoming a solid top 150 player, massively exceeded my expectation of her this year.
