Well done to Danielle.

She gets the 6th seed in the MD, which is not great one might think, but the standard is not particulalry great here and the sixth seed is only ranked 950 or so, so there's no real cause for complaints.

In addition, Alice Gillan gets a qualifier (age 14, born 2004) and Tiffany also gets an unranked qualifier, although her one has two counters and seems to be slightly better than her unranked status would suggest.

The American is providing some challenge for Tiffany. Tiff went down a break in the 3rd game but got it back in the 8th game. The first set went to a tie break where Tiff had 2 SPs at 6-4, but the American levelled. Tiff eventually won the tie break on her 5th SP of the 20 point TB during we she defended 1 SP.
