Fognini loses and so is out of the race.

He needs to win Paris and have someone withdraw to make it. The withdrawal is more likely than the other part (Delpo hasn't ruled it out nor has Nadal).

Meanwhile, "Dimitrov now officially out of London, even he wins Paris and multiple players withdraw."

true, being honest I was looking at it on assumption all players would be in, withdrawals complicate my brain waves too much.

I'd been rather assuming that at least Del Porto, and quite likely Nadal, would be out of the tour finals but maybe not ...

If it is the existing top 8 then Kyle would merely have to win the Vienna and Paris titles, on top of his Antwerp title, to get to 3605 points. And rely on #8 Thiem not taking his current 3535 points out of range anyway. Simples

Coric beats Pouille and Pouille will be ranked around 30ish - Gasquet becomes new French no.1 Coric also improves his London chances.

Yes, saw that Seagull. Isn't Houston local for him to his old University? I see Wardy is down for Bangalore that week also. And the US has another Challenger in the same week at Champaign, which Jack Draper is lined up for as an alt, I think?

Local in the way Newcastle perhaps even Edinburgh is to London (4hr drive)

I thought in the USA that was local!

Local is relative.  Bear in mind that Texas is bigger than France, and I'm sure that CD will agree that driving from one side of France to the other takes a looooong time!

Verdasco is always a tough proposition (well not always, when he wants to be) and I suspect Edmund had less steam left. Time to pick up and have one last push in Paris (assuming London is little or no chance now)

Joe and Neal are into a MTB versus Kubot and Melo. Good second set from the Brits.
