They had a tough draw as alts last week but to face the same pair back this week as top seeds was a really rotten draw for them.

Both Katie's are on at 3am and Swan's match will be streamed for those night owls / different time zones.

Swan had a slow start being 0-3* down. She then won the next 5 games, but couldn't hold when serving for the set. She broke in the very next game to take the first set 6-4. Shocking DF count from both, which the Chinese player edged 7-6 in the set. Swan is down a break in the second 1-2*.

Boulter leads 6-4 *4-1

KB won 6-4, 6-2

I did think it would be harder for KS as she is coming back from being injured. She is 6-4, 2-5*

Very good win for Katie B, and great second set comeback from Katie S then if she won the last 5 games in a row in the second set.

A good comeback indeed, aided by her opponent serving 8 DF in her last three service games, including 4 in the last game !
Good to see her back, and winning again.

That is some win from Swan there! (Also, terrible from the opponent to fail to serve it out numerous times)

Youngster was obviously a bag of nerves faced with the opportunity to gain a CH win. Still good for Katie to avoid the errors and let her implode.

That win puts KS on the same points as Harriet, but Katie takes the GB#4 spot on the tie break.

Great win for Boulter. Lu Jiajing up next who beat Watson in HK the other week but then lost 3 and 1 to Shar1pova in the next Q round.

Tomova is a set and an early break up on the 8th seed Kudermetova so that's probably who Katie S will face next, but it doesn't look like she will be ready to compete with either of those.

Yes Kudermotova has retired now. Tomova similar ranking to Katie S, but Katie will no doubt need to be a lot sharper. Still she has a win of sorts under her belt now on her injury comeback.

R16: Katie BOULTER (GBR) [4] 96 vs Jia-Jing LU (CHN) 189 (CH:174 July 18)
R16: Katie SWAN (GBR) 165 vs Viktoriya TOMOVA (BUL) 162 (CH:128 July 18)
