I feel like Andy Murray correcting, was it Castle(?), re: defending Olympic gold here but ATP singles title - he's already won an ATP doubles title earlier this year with Cam.

Also, all of the under 24's in ATP singles finals won today. Not bad, nextgen, not bad.

Kyle wasn't the only one crying. I admit to having a few tears in my eyes myself. What a match. Just so happy for him.

First ATP Final earlier in the year. SF of a slam. First ATP Title today in Antwerp. Started the year WR 50. Now back to a CH of 14. Not bad considering 3 months of his season were badly affected by illness.

All I can say is, "Challenger level player my posterium." This guy has what it takes to go Top 10. After that, who knows.

Leaving aside for now the race top 10 that Kyle's chances of catching are "pretty unlikely" or indeed possibly not "a cat in hell's chance" ...

With the Kyle and Tsitsipas titles, the O2 alternates race

11. Coric 2300
12. Fognini 2225
13. Edmund 2150
14. Tsitsipas 2085

Well done to kyle, it clearly meant a lot to him, well deserved. Who was in his box, presumably one was his dad, the other chap with glasses, was that his coach. ?

No.  That was not his dad.  The one in the T shirt was coach Freddie Rosengren.  Not sure on the guy in the glasses but may have been his fitness coach.

Confirmation from Kyle's Dad

Steven Edmund
@stevenedmund50

Btw, alongside Fidde was Prangers (Ian Prangley) Kyles S&C coach and physio.

Great to watch, that was a brilliant final you have to say both players played to a very high level. Cant help but be moved by Kyles reaction there, great to see how much it means. Lets see him go on to greater things now.

No-one can say that wasn't a high quality win. Montfils was absolutely brilliant for much of the match and Kyle still found a way to win. Has answered all his critics today - I'm so pleased for him

Let's hear what jaggy has to say before you make a sweeping statement like that, SuperT.  wink

Answered and acknowledged, well deserved. Questions answered and all credit due, ATP level for sure with that smile

Congratulations Kyle - very impressive, first time top seed in singles, I believe, and proved you deserved it. So exciting to have another ATP champion and one who has worked so hard and consistently to improve year on year. Just well done to you.
