Cam and McKenzie Mac arguably the two best college players of the decade in tandem! Great to see, hope they have some fun and the odd win or two.

With delpo getting injured and rafa looking unlikely to play, from what I read, then kyle finds himself possibly around 1000 points short of John Isner in 10th place in the race for the tour finals. Add in fed and might he not play and that brings Coric in 11th as the target, 350 or so points ahead. With kyle ( and Isner and Fognini) playing this week of the challengers, this might prove to be a very big week for Kyle. No pressure but a massive week to get his first title me thinks

Think it needs race #11 to become the target to really begin to feel maybe more than just a mathematical possibility. As you indicate it's a big difference between the current #10 target and #11 target.

Let's just say #10 looks a very big ask even supposing Nishikori and Isner don't push the target points on quite a bit more. Though if Jack Sock can manage last ditch miracles in 2017 ...

9. Nishikori 3000

10. Isner 2930

11. Coric 2300
12. Fognini 2225
13. Edmund 1945
14 Tsitsipas 1905

Isner, Fognini and Tsitsipas are the top 3 seeds in Stockholm. Let's have a bit of carnage there while Kyle does his stuff in Antwerp.

Still really sad though about Delpo.

For me, while it would be great to see Kyle at the 02, he would have to win a fair bit to do that between now and then and look what happened to Andy (twice, the year played everything in sight and got hammered by Fed, 6-1, 6-0 and then 2016 which whilst was amazing, look at him since) and Sock. Let's just have a nice and steady (Eddy) improvement.

Yes, you could indeed have something there. Especially with Kyle's quite recent issues maybe cause for concern about him really pushing over the next 3 weeks and then possibly the 02.

I had been kinda just happy to see Kyle back playing pretty well again and hoped for a few more good wins and say at least one deep run and it would have been a nice end to a very progressive season overall.

But I suspect for good or ill ( and I really hope not literally ) he will be pushing for as long as the 02 is a possibility. The Antwerp, Vienna, Paris schedule was already saying that to me.

If he had needed top 8 that door was undoubtably going to get shut before much longer but there is now going to remain at least a chance for a while longer.

Nice win for McNorrie - alas, I did not make this team name up but this guy on twitter did

Still like Kontapenko better though.
