Yes, that's interesting. I've just looked at OER for 7th Jan and note that for the moment they are sticking to the 3 counter rule. We have just 23 women listed there, with Nell Miller at the bottom with 3 points, as she does have 3, single counters from 25ks. We have other players like Olivia Peet, Eden Richardson... who have scored more points from 25k+ events, but don't have the 3 counters and are not listed as yet.

...But nor are they listed in the transition tour rankings either since those are WTA points they've picked up. Interesting. There is a real limbo there at the moment that they have to decide about. I think the WTA is going to have to forget about the 3 counters or they are going to create all sorts of confusion.
Been looking at the system again, at first glance I wasnt a fan but it should help our players who have ability but face a struggle getting on the rankings, whilst hopefully weeding out the Daddypaysformetoplaytennistypeswithhistaxdodges players who dont cut it.
Kasia now also completes the Pitak sisters singles wins over Squar etc, but the latter did gain a measure of revenge yesterday in the doubles. A further good opportunity for Kasia next up. Ola could face the 2nd seed Cadar (ROU), who plays later.

"just 23" - see the mens for the same date,
I guess that's because of the strange way they are not counting 25k results, except if you win, and not counting challenger q results, which also go into the transition tour rankings. Well I guess this will decimate the men then... And those listed includes Alex Ward who has retired anyway.
