Still a very proud week for young Mukhtar and this result should not take the gloss off that fact.

You can't just share stuff from your hard drive - you have to put it somewhere public (e.g. dropbox)

ATP website doesnt seem to have any info on the Lagos tournament?

I did know the Draper result from the internet

I feel Andu's ranking has been a little manufactured, getting a wildcard into a fairly obscure tournament and then lucking out in getting a fellow wildcard. Don't mean to be harsh but I don't feel he deserves his ranking at this point. Maybe one day he'll become the next Federer, but I still fear he'll be another Robert Dee

Don't think anyone has really been taking it as any more than that at the moment. Great to get that point and be the only ranked 14 yo but of course it is just that one point in these circumstances.

For instance, my point of the top ranked 16 yo vs soon to be top ranked 14 yo, while factual is more just a fun fact at this time, and very particularly so re Mukhtar. Folk have generally just being saying that it's great for the lad and it is. No one is making any daft further claims.

As of now he probably deserves his one point and ranking just as much as many others. All the best to him for the coming years.

Yeah I would definitely put it down as fortunate point. However hell have that for the next year so hopefully that will allow him to enter Qualifying easier for the Futures/transition tour and that will be the main benefit of the point allowing him to be able to test himself further.

May I have a plain English translation of that, please?  I'm when it comes to computer terminology.  For the record, it's the second item down on this Google page

Got to be honest I am a little more optimistic, it takes a bit of umph to get yourself out to Nigeria at 14 to play a futures event so very little luck involved in putting yourself in a position to win that point, the boy is a natural athlete ie likes sport, a gymnast when young ...age group international ... hopefully  this will help him get more opportunities he is on the LTAs radar already .... more importantly perhaps even A1 Pharmaceuticals! Obviously there are plenty of junior events that he could play it will be very interesting to follow his career and of course all the best to him and a great start.

Love the fact that he was "a gymnast when young", Oakie.

Lordy, he's barely out of primary school now

What was he doing - back-flips in the pram????

But, yes, no huge claims for future stardom - we'll see - just a smile from everyone that the boy's had such a good week.
