Round up of the doubles. Other semi final will be played tomorrow and the final is scheduled to be played too.
Random fact: New Zealand holds no professional tennis tournaments. So Erin has to play in Aus to gain her ranking... Also if Suzie Larkin is now NZ based, that would be one reason she hasn't played many ITF tournaments this year. Interesting in fact the countries that hold no ITF tournaments at all. Denmark is another.
QF: Jodie Anna Burrage/ Albina Khabibulina (GBR/UZB) 867 (579+288) lost to Naiktha Bains/ Abigail Tere-Apisah (AUS/PNG) [3] 458 (143+315) 4-6 5-7

International tournament status at that!
Yes ok, I meant ITF tournaments - which I did clarify later in my sentence! - in which local players could be expected to play and boost their rankings. In this year's Auckland open 3 Kiwi's had WCs into qualifying, as did Suzy Larkin, with none winning their matches, and one Kiwi, Jade Lewis, had a WC into the MD and lost too. So that's the limit of NZ women's participation in professional tournaments in their own country in one year...
Toowoomba - I feel like an owl saying that - has been a washout again today. There is still one women's QF unfinished, and tomorrow, Sunday, they have scheduled the end of the QF, the SF and the F. It means Freya has to hang around too for her doubles final.
