R1: DUNNE, Katy (GBR) 4 233 lost to HIVES, Zoe (AUS) 309 6-3 4-6 3-6

I woke up in the middle of the night, so watched the second half of the final set. Thought she might turn it around for a while.

Not one of Katy's better performances. I felt that her serve still needs improvement, and doesnt get her any cheap points, and she gave away too many UFE.
However, she lost the match by a single point, and by 6 breaks to 7, so she can't be that far from returning to the form she showed in Feb/March this year.

Katy Dunne + lost their doubles match (despite being 2nd seeds)

Freya and Erin won theirs (helped by a second set retirement but they'd won the first set 6-1_

Gabi and Dalma Galfi were 5-2 up in their first set, but then contrived to lose the set narrowly in a TB and then the match rather easily after that 6-7(6) 1-6

 Those were pretty much my thoughts (posted in relevant thread) from watching Katy play Dodin at Edgbaston this summer.

Gabi and Dalma that is a decent team hope they do well.

But they didnt! Onwards
