Seems that Zverev is now qualified, so 3 places left and the following 20 are fighting it out for those places: correct as of end of todays play. The rest of the last 32 matches get played today and so by its nature some of these lower listed players will fall by the wayside

In contention with Live Race Ranking

6. Cilic
7. Anderson
8. Thiem
9. Isner
10. Nishikori
11. Fognini
12. Tsitsipas

14. Edmund
15. Coric (having won today)

17. Cecchinato
18. Medvedev
19. Basilashvili

23. Khachanov
24. Chung
25. Bautista-Agut
26. Gasquet

28. de Minaur

33. Jarry (having beaten Cilic)

42. Seppi

54. Querrey

live ranking have once again reverted to zverev as not qualified so officially 4 spots still open. Presumably a matter of time though. Basilashvili lost today and along seppi depart the list of runners for O2. More fallers will no doubt occur over course of today, but kyle at least is alive and kicking and should hope to do well against Jarrry (my predictive texting keeps changing that to harry ).

Jarry up next for Kyle - winnable

Definitely winnable but Jarry is a big server and on a fast court.  He did for Cilic in R2 so it won't be easy.

Dom and franko fall short, 16-14 in MTB. V close. Puts paid to there very slim chances of reaching London, but still should look to finish well on indoor courts back in Europe.

Just saw the last few games but Edmunds serve was great and he hit some really powerful ground strokes .

Really good to see him finishing the season well.

So the trail of contenders for the O2 narrows a little today, this is who is left chasing 5 spots

(As Zverev isnt being called as qualified yet it seems) - down to 15 players chasing those 5 spots.

5. Zverev
6. Cilic
7. Anderson
8. Thiem
9. Isner
10. Nishikori
11. Fognini
12. Tsitsipas
13. Edmund (up from 14)

15. Cecchinato
16. Coric

25. Bautista-Agut

28 De Minaur

36. Jarry

46. Querrey

As I suspected, the Jarry serve is proving very difficult to handle, but Kyle hangs on and comes through to take the 1st set on a TB 7-5.

Vamos Kedders.

Highly impressive from Kyle today. Having gone 0-2* down, early in that second set, he then dominated, breaking Jarry on three occasions so seal a 7-6(5) 6-3 win.

L16: (11) Kyle Edmund WR 14 beat Nicolás Jarry (CHI) WR 48 (CH 42 Aug 2018) 7-6(5) 6-3

QF: (11) Kyle Edmund WR 14 v (4) Sacha Zverev (GER) WR 5 (CH 3 Nov 2017)

Edit

A win over Zverev would jump Kyle above Fognini in the live rankings and up to 13, although there are still a few layers below him that could spoil that party - Tsitsipas and Coric being the main contenders.
