Can I just query, is shanghai indoor or outdoor? I always thought it was outdoor but could be wrong!

Just looking on ATP event page the picture of centre Court seems to show it outdoor at night but with what appears to be a closing roof if needed. It's on decoturf, I think that is the US open surface? The wiki page also says it is outdoor.

You're right, Jon.  Just looked at some pictures.  Definitely outdoors.  Didn't think when I started the thread, just assumed because of the time of year in this part of the world!    Rectified!

It's definitely all indoor from this point though! How I miss the old Benson and Hedges event at Wembley! Mcenroe v connors was an epic of its time, 5 sets with the worst behaviour by both! And svensson and Noah in the final one year was one of the best matches I ever saw on TV. Sadly the one final I went to was forget v Chang, 3 quick sets and I got stuck on North circular and missed the first two sets. (they were all best of 5 back then)

I digress

Cam still hasn't achieved any measure of consistency yet. Mixes good results with some really poor ones. I guess he's still learning a lot about the ATP tour and what's required week in and out to perform. Plenty of question marks also about the quality of his game, and what his potential upside might be in the coming year.

It's a huge step from Challenger to ATP Tour and a lot of players pause in their rankings rise during that transition.  Kyle was no exception in that regard (although some still think he's a challenger player anyway wink ) and so it is no surprise or concern to see something similar from Cam.  He will come good in his own time.  Of that I am sure.
