And so Anna becomes the 4th British woman to gain a ranking this year after Nell, Emma R, and Emilie. smile

She also has a very good chance to gain another point in the next round, her opponent being the winner of a battle between two unranked 17yr olds, neither with a significant junior record.

Great run by Anna.

And although Bonic is a classy player, given her CH, she has barely made it past the QFs in recent months, and lost a lot of tight matches - she took three sets (the first two very close) to beat the unrnaked Dutch girl in her match today.

Good week for Anna - 2 singles and 4 doubles points - so far; her 11th counter at doubles. In doubles she will lose 11 pts this year (not counting this week.) Her third singles counter comes off in March next year. biggrin
