James Storey joined his brother Matt at Memphis after allegedly turning down TCU, Auburn, NC State and Georgia. Auburn recruit another Brit to join Tad Maclean and Tom Wright - Finn Murgett will be joining the roster Spring 2020 Alexander Zuckerman started at UNCG Joining fellow Brits Ollie Palmer and Jack Burkill
I am sure James had his reasons but slightly disappointed he didnt break out in his own in a tougher conference, Georgia and TCU are top programmes, shame if the rumours are true and singles tennis his primary focus. There are plenty of reasons for going to College and Jo is developing an outstanding career in doubles after following the well trodden Brit college path to Memphis.

Not sure how the rankings are calculated as no sign of Paul Jubb - however he's not on the 2019/2020 roster for his college. I though someone had posted he was definitely finishing college this year rather than deferring???
I never really know the import of all the events over there but, on the basis of let's just celebrate all success, well done to Georgie Walker who seemingly has just "won the singles flight eight championship to lead the Furman women's team Sunday in the final day of the 33rd Annual Debbie Southern Fall Classic":
The ITA at Tulsa starts today with 250 men in the pre-qualifying draw including Memphis' Oscar Cutting, David Stevens, Matt and James Storey, also Dan Siddall, Max Stewart , Connor Thompson SC, Josh Wilson Liberty and Luke Hammond Oaklahoma State - apologies if I've missed anyone........Chris Edge MTSU, Alex Maggs New Mexico, Giles Hussey Would take 7 wins to get through to the MD from the pre-q's.
This is the first year the women's event will also be at Tulsa. Previously in California......the forecast is not looking great and there are a limited number of indoor courts, so hopefully they will get through most of the matches before it rains.

And why not..... congrats to Erika Dodridge who "won the Draw D championship at the Gopher Invitational on Sunday" (??, no idea, but I understand the word 'won', and 'championship', and it's a cool photo):
In the women's ITA All-American Championships, Eden Richardson (Louisiana State), Holly Hutchinson (Old Dominion) are in main draw.
Erin Richardson (California), Victoria Allen (Florida State) in qualies.
Alisha Reayer (Memphis), Megan Davies (South Carolina), Olivia Peet (Texas Tech), Megan Hopton (Tulsa) in pre-qualies

In the pre-qualies, Megan Davies still on course with 2 wins yesterday. She is the 13th seed and plays the 5th seed Elise van Heuvelen today for a place in qualies.
Alisha won her 1st match, but lost out in 3 sets (to 4 in the 3rd set) in her 2nd match. Olivia went out in the 1st round - 5-7 in the 3rd set, so both hard fought.
Megan Hopton playing in the doubles qualies (not singles pre-qualies) - my mistake. Not really having done these sort of posts before i.e. recording results, it's tougher than I expected (not sure what that says about me..)

Megan Davies won today, so is through to the qualies draw, starting tomorrow
In the men, Connor Thomson also came through pre-qualis.
There's zillion of men in the quali draw but, as well as Connor, I also see: Hamish Stewart, Dan Martin, Josh Goodger, Emile Hudd, Barnaby Smith, Jacob Fearnley and Tom Thelwall Jones (apologies if anyone missed)

Those making it through the first round of qualies are Connor Thompson SC, Josh Goodger ( transfer Tulane to Florida), Emile Hudd OS, Nick Brooke's N'western, Jacob Fernley TCU, (Zeke Clark Illinois- edit not a Brit), Hamush Stewart Tulane, (Dan Martin is the Canadian from Dartmouth not the British one)
singles consolation draw was cancelled due to the weather.
Doubles qualies featured a number of Brits but only Chris Edge MSTU and Memphis pair Oscar Cutting and David Stevens made it through first round with Oscar and David making it t to the last 16.
Apologies if missed anyone, am travelling and following on a small screen- each time I look at the draw I seem to spot someone I missed before :0(
