Pity re Tara again but she is not going to get anywhere close to her potential unless and until she can sort out the consistent DF donations. Another 21 DFs this time.

Naomi and Olivia are both playing now, and both are down 4-5. Naomi is on serve though, whilst Olivia is a break down. Still a very respectable start from her.

Naomi then broke to take the first set 7-5
Olivia failed to break back and lost the first 4-6, and is now an early break down in the second

Thing is, it's obviously poor but at the same time, it's not really a surprise - she's just been bad for so long now.

I've not looked at the stats and stuff in detail, but you you'd think her Aussie Open Q position might be under threat once those late 125k and Luxembourg points come off. Actually, if they are doing the 16x8 rather than 12x8 this year like Wimbledon, then she should still be fine.

Others will be more clued up, but she has roughly 160 points to defend before the start of 2018. If you removed those 160 points, she would be on 200 points which is around 260 in the rankings, so there is work to be done this back end to stay in the top 200.

Yes, I'd just been looking at her precise guaranteed ranking points but you've basically said it.

Taking off her relatively big remaining points from last year and replacing them with this week's 5 points and non counters.

360 - ( 8 + 14 + 60 + 57 + 29 ) + ( 5 + 2 + 1 + 1 + 1 ) = 202 points, which is currently equivalent to WR 264
