Naomi 6-2 *2-1 up, seems to be serving well with 7 aces and about 70%. Will be a good win if she can pull it off.
I really do feel Naomi would be much higher ranked if she'd spent most of this year at 60-100k. Her results at that level are solid, and Buzarnescu showed how well that can work last year. Glad she's stepped down for now.
biggest delta between talent and what a players achived that i can think of for a brit
she had a lot of bad luck over the years quite a bit of it self inflictid but she had a bumpy ride
dont think well ever see her real potensial now will we real shame
hope there some magic fix but it will have to be magic now and strong magic to
So after all those matches last night - 2 singles and 4 doubles matches, Naomi is through to both next rounds, as she should be with her seedings, and is joined in the singles by Olivia and doubles by Tara. But largely disappointing for the rest; Lana came close in the doubles but lost in the MTB. Tara had a significant opportunity there, but now confirms her fall out of the GB #10 position, with Maia, Beth, and Jodie (once her points go on from her win today go on) now ahead of her. Would love to see a comeback from Tara, but yes would agree with Tom, despite her potential I would certainly not bet on it.
