Bragging rights still very unclear.

3-3 in the third, each has taken 2/2 BPs in the set. Olivia serving first.

Well, until RS mentioned their last score, I had certainly expected Nell to win... then it became clear the match was likely to be very close, and after 2hrs 20 it certainly was.
They had identical points 108 each. But such is the fact that this was the first round of a 25k that a series of odd anomalies now occur. As Red Squirrel also mentioned, by dint of the 1pt for the WC, Nell will now carry her ranking into the new year, and since she has 3 counters in 25ks will have a WTA ranking in the new system.
Meanwhile Olivia has only 1 counter, so no ranking there I think - but don't know if the new system requires counters in the same way? But as of now, although she only has this one counter, Olivia has 5 points to Nell's 4 points, even though she will have no current ranking...

R32: Nell MILLER (GBR) [WC] 1237 lost to Olivia PEET (GBR) [WC] UNR 6-4 2-6 6-7(6)

Well played Olivia commiserations to Nell. Looks like they will have a titanic battle through the fall season to establish the higher spot in the pecking order. They have lost a lot of players from last year but I would anticipate them playing 2 and er another slot. Felicity Maltby playing No 1 and the 4 Freshman fighting it out with Lana for the rest of the order. Nell is the most highly rated, Olivia 4th of the freshman!

I see I repeated Indy on Olivia and Nell's score, but here's Tara's updated draw too. Tough that match between Nell and Olivia, didn't want either to lose. Tara gets a very good draw and she could really use some catch back points.

R32: Naomi BROADY (GBR) [1] 167 vs Ann LI (USA) 324=CH 18yrs (12 Jan 18)
R32: Nell MILLER (GBR) [WC] 1237 lost to Olivia PEET (GBR) [WC] UNR 6-4 2-6 6-7(6)
R32: Tara MOORE (GBR) 398 vs Bianca TURATI (ITA) [LL] 528 (CH:462 Dec 15)
