It's been a very underwhelming summer in singles from Emily.
She has last year's 12 Tunisia 15K title points ( beat the WR 379 along the way and Fran Jones in the final ) to drop off on 17/09 and a further point on 24/09, leaving her on her total of 9 points from this summer and quite likely to drop out of the top 1000.
Won just one main draw match, 6 points from qualifying and winning a round in a Spanish 25K. Indeed for whatever reasons I see that she has played exclusively at 25K level or above.
Thinking about it, maybe because of the transition tour coming in and how 15K and 25K points will be assigned and/or she wanted just to test herself at that level.

I thought the US uni players were back across the Atlantic by now?
Emily is now entering her junior year in Stanford (ie next to last), and a quick check shows the year starts on 24 Sept. She is actually down to play one more week in Europe I think.
Emily + march on in the doubles. Certainly Emily is succeeding here far more than in the singles at present. This one did take them a little longer to cross the line, as they won on their 4th MP, after having 2 serving at *5-3, then another one at 5-4*. Their potential final opponents are playing now.
