No-one is playing in the MD singles this week in Portugal, but Zarah is in the doubles with Priyanka Shah (USA), who lost to Sam in last week's singles SF.
I was quite surprised to find last week that Priyanka, who is 22, did not have a ranking, or any history of one last week as she can obviously play. A bit more digging has found that she graduated from Cornell this year, was Cornell's #1 in both singles and doubles, and did not play a pro tennis tournament between Jan 2014 and June 2018. Her 4 points last week was also her 3rd counter since June (total 6 points), so next week she will be ranked. Not a bad partner for 17yr old Zarah.
